Dutch Design Week - Dutch Design Week - Dutch Design Week - 2023

In October 2023, I had the opportunity to create an exhibition at Spoor-K. Here, I presented the Foundies collection from the Lost and Found project and a second version of the CD-Lamp. In this Journal I will take th eoppertunity to reflect on my first exhibition.

When I decided to exhibit at Dutch Design Week, I knew it would require a lot of energy. However, I still underestimated the impact. The weeks of preparation were truly intense, and my excitement kept my energy levels high, resulting in a kind of euphoria that had me working in the studio until late. I put so much pressure on myself at this point that had to take a break and use a different mindset. I became less strict with myself and tried to enjoy the process, embracing failures.

Looking back, I am really proud of how I managed to pull off such a significant presentation. Overworked, I kept finding the motivation to go on. This experience has taught me a lot about acceptance and the process.
