Meet Madeleine Scholtes, a Dutch designer. In 2020, she graduated as a furniture designer from Hout- en Meubileringscollege in Amsterdam. After graduating, she moved to Eindhoven to further develop her practice at Design Academy Eindhoven. Since 2023, she has been working from her own studio at Strijp-S, Eindhoven.

Madeleine transforms overlooked materials into bold, thoughtful design pieces. Guided by form, composition, and craftsmanship, she creates objects that are functional, surprising, and enduring. Her work balances creativity and quality, giving everyday materials a new purpose while reflecting a commitment to adaptable and meaningful design.

For the Young Culture Weekends 2024, Sip and Make teamed up with Foundation We Are to bring a unique creative experience to Eindhoven with The Village Session #1. This special workshop day was designed to immerse participants in a vibrant atmosphere where art, creativity, and community come together.

The weekends feature a range of interactive workshops where attendees can explore different forms of creative expression, guided by experienced artists and creators. The aim of the collaboration was to provide young people with an open, inclusive space to relax, connect with others, and let their creativity flow.
